Dear Westport Families:
It’s that time of the year again! Next week we will begin our annual K-PREP testing. This is a very important time in your student’s school career as these scores will be part of the academic record and can be used to determine future course placements and acceptance to the high school of choice. Our students and teachers have worked very hard all year to master the standards assessed on K-PREP, and we feel confident about the academic preparation students have received. Also, in March, every student participated in an individual conference to review previous test scores and to set a goal for K-PREP this year. Please ask your student about his/her goals.
This year we will be testing May 21-24. As such, there are a few things we would like to remind you to ensure that our students perform to the best of their ability.
Please make sure that your students have #2 pencils for the test. We will be testing in math on May 22, so remind your child to bring a calculator.
Thank you for your help in preparing your student to be as successful as possible during testing this year!
